After completing my School Leaving Certificate (SLC), I found myself in a dilemma about which faculty to choose for my future career. I had no clear idea of how to make the right decision, but deep in my heart, I always desired to join the Science stream. I even sat for an entrance exam at New Capital College in my town and successfully passed it.
However, just a few days later, I received information about a scholarship program for the +2 level through my church pastors and leaders, who supported and guided me with great encouragement. This scholarship was provided by the Higher Secondary Education Board. I applied, took the exam, and waited for the results with hope. When the results were published, I was delighted to see my name on the merit list. I thanked my Heavenly Father for this blessing, as I received a full scholarship. Although the scholarship was not in Science but in Commerce, I accepted it wholeheartedly. Looking back, I realize it was God’s plan to place me in the Commerce faculty, and I have never regretted this decision.
After completing my intermediate studies, I dreamed of pursuing a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA). Unfortunately, BBA programs were costly and unavailable in my hometown; they were only offered in cities like Bharatpur and Narayanghat. One night, while listening to the radio, I heard about a scholarship program for bachelor’s studies offered by Pokhara University. Filled with hope, my friends and I applied and sat for the scholarship exams for BBA and BBA-BI. But when the first and second merit lists were published, my name was not included. I was heartbroken and felt discouraged, almost ready to give up on my dream.
In September 2012, I moved to Kathmandu and enrolled in Business Studies at Everest College, Galkopakha, Thamel. Although it was not my first choice, I attended classes regularly, determined to keep moving forward. Then, one month later, I received an unexpected phone call. To my amazement, I was informed that I had been shortlisted for a Pokhara University scholarship! My joy was beyond words, and I praised God for answering my prayers. I was required to choose between BBA and BBA-BI, and I decided to pursue BBA. Soon after, my name appeared on the merit list, and I was placed at NCIT College for the BBA program.
In 2012, I officially began my journey as part of the BBA 2012 batch at NCIT. Those years were filled with grace, opportunities, and valuable learning experiences. Eventually, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with good grades.
Looking back, I am deeply grateful to the Lord Jesus for leading me step by step. What once seemed like disappointments were actually divine redirections. Today, I am fully satisfied with my education in the management faculty. I believe it was God’s plan for me to study Commerce and Business Administration, equipping me with the knowledge and skills needed for my future career. I no longer regret not studying Science, because I trust that God has a greater purpose for my life and career through management.
